Huge success of "Bartók - Double Bill" in Florence brings immidiate reinvitation for Hungarian conductor.

Zsolt Hamar conducted on June 3rd and 5th two performances of The Miraculous Mandarin and Duke Bluebeard's Castle at Italy's most prestigious festival, celebrating this year its 75th edition. The choreographer-director was Jo Kanamori, the role of Judit was taken by Davida Kavanas, that of the Duke by Matthias Goerne. Although preceeded by bad omens (a part of the ceiling fell off in the theatre forcing the festival to cancel the first performance scheduled for May 31st), the performances have been enthousiastically received both by the audience and by critics. Hamar has been reinvited to the Orchestra of Maggio Musicale in October 2013.
