Dénes Várjon at Salzburg Festival
Audiences of the world famous festival could hear the Hungarian pianist in two concerts on August 6th and 8th.

The two chamber music concerts held in the city's Mozarteum were devoted to Czech composers and featured works by Suk, Martinu, Janacek and Dvorák. Várjon's partners were Lawrence Power (viola), Alina Pogostkina (violin), Joshua Bell (violin) and Steven Isserlis (cello). Mr. Várjon will return later in October to Salzburg, this time as soloist in two concerts of the Budapest Festival Orchestra playing Ernst von Dohnányi's Variations on a Nursery Rhyme.
