On the eve of March 15th, Hungary's national holiday, the President of Hungary decorated Kristóf Baráti with the Kossuth Prize, the countries most prestigious cultural award. The ceremony held in the Parliament of Hungary was attended also by the Prime Minister of Hungary.

„Such a professional recognition means a great pleasure to me; seeing my goals becoming reality and getting confirmation as a young artist gives me plenty of inspiration." - Baráti said after the ceremony. Baráti, 35, was the youngest prize winner this year.
