The Russian National Orchestra, one of the world's leading symphony orchestras gave under the baton of Mikhail Pletnov two concerts in Hungary in January: the one in Pécs featured István Várdai, the second in Budapest Kristóf Baráti as soloist.

Várdai performed on January 23rd, 2015 in the Kodály Center of Pécs Cello Concerto No.2. by Dmitry Shostakovich, Baráti on January 24th, 2015 in the Erkel Theatre of Budapest Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. Hungarian Radio broadcasted the second concert live.
